By: Doris Yin - USER FEE
I've noticed many pioneers are concerned about the 0.01 user fee. Allow me to share my understanding of this issue below:
- Dr. Nicolas had mentioned about a year ago that user fees would be adjusted once prices were set. therefore, we are working hard to establish unified GCV pricing. Once these prices are set, user fees will likely be adjusted accordingly.

- No need to worry about user fees of 0.01 Pi. You probably missed at least 10-100 Pis

because you forgot to lighten your account. if you lighten on time, you can make up this 0.01.
- If you want to get more out of Pi, you can visit Pi Browser to increase your speed.
- Some pioneers opposed the $314,159 barter because they felt that the payout for the product was only 0.0001 or lower, while the user fee was set at 0.01. They consider user fees too expensive.
- So, my question for you is: if you were trading in a $2,000 phone, would you rather pay 20 Pi and a user fee of 0.01=20.01 (option 1) or go to GCV
$314,159 Pi and pay 0.006366 and user fees 0.01 =0.016366 (option 2)?
- I'm not sure you would choose to pay for the 20.01 Pi just because the user cost of 0.01 is lower than the phone's cost of 20. You would compare the 20.01 and 0.016366 to see which is more economical. This is sound logic.
- 0.01 Pi is the same for all ecosystem utility prices, regardless of the price of Pi. If you choose to barter for a lower price, your Pi will be used up much faster than if you choose GCV. So why not choose GCV?
- Although you will have to contribute a user fee of 0.01 per transaction, during the mainnet shutdown, you will only pay an approximate maximum of 100 times, which is 1 Pi. But you can use 1 Pi to get a Pi price of $314,159. Who will benefit from it? You will! So why not?
